Description
This Stoneman Collection artwork is an example of the smaller version of an a-Tshol. It has a much shorter beak and a stout shape; the head is large, however, with a short neck that sits on a high, hollowed-out, stool-shaped base that is painted with black triangular designs. This a-Tshol is very simple and this could represent a female version of the headdress.
