"This goldweight shows a standing man with his left hand curved up and supporting a snake on his head, while holding a long stick in his right hand. This possibly may relate to the Asante proverb 'He who is bitten by a snake fears a lizard.'" Researched by Elizabeth Atchley, MSU student, 2005, under the direction of Dr. Billie Follensbee.
