Description
Rich traditional African geometric art with Islamic motifs create a synthesized design. Incised and carved, large gourd bowls are displayed items among traditional Hausa - Fulani cultures that are used to carry milk but this small pierced object suggest only the material and the decorative geometry of the traditional objects. The cut work Gourd bowl is composed of free-form diamonds, squares, and X shapes.
