Description
Senufo artists craft rings topped with the heads of large horned animals - a common African symbol of power - that are very similar to those encircling the stems of this pipe. This pipe has a detachable bowl, which indicates that the artist was influenced by European pipes, as African pipes are typically crafted as one piece.
