Description
Located in front of the New Science Building on Drury University campus, this sculpture references science by illustrating the concept of a “field” (i.e. a plasma field, particle field, electrical field, etc.). The sculpture’s form serves to focus and project energy and, as such, juxtaposes energy and matter. As an artwork it continues Hatcher’s exploration of the object-field relationship and demonstrates the concept of a union of matter and space. (from artist's website)
